Annual general meeting (AGM)/Comitia – 24 September 2020 Meeting papers and arrangements (for fellows)

Joining information

On Wednesday 23 September 2020 those who have registered for the AGM will be sent a one-time password (OTP) which is needed to access the broadcast of the, this will be sent from rcplondon@ggwebcast.com.

What will you need to join the AGM virtually?

  • You will need access to the internet, we would advise that you log in from a desktop, laptop or large portable device
    • Where possible we would recommend avoiding your phone for viewing the AGM as you may need this to participate in the Q&A and voting aspects of the meeting
  • The OTP, which will be sent prior to the AGM, without this you will not be able to access the broadcast
  • The email address you have used to register, usually your primary RCP email address
    • If you enter a different email our system cannot identify you and you won't be granted access
  • You will be invited to ask questions and vote by using VeVox, the unique code will be displayed during the broadcast, this will ensure only those eligible to vote can do so. You can download the app from your app store in advance, or it can be accessed via your browser

FitzPatrick lecture 2020

The FitzPatrick lecture will also be taking place digitally and requires separate registration. Professor Ali Jawad will deliver the lecture on 'Sir Harry Sinderson Pasha, royal physician extraordinaire'. To register please follow this link.

Agenda and papers

Please note that the AGM papers are confidential. We hope that members (who also have access to the webpage) will find them interesting, but it should be noted that attendance and voting at the AGM is a benefit of fellowship only. Checks on those registering for the AGM will be undertaken to ensure this occurs.

  • Meeting papers – please see download below. They includes papers not within the physical mailing (scheduled for September) to ensure resource saving and also any tabled papers.
  • Proposal to revise the RCP bye-laws –. At this year’s AGM fellows will be asked to vote on a package of changes to the RCP’s bye-laws and the papers below include that proposal. In advance of the meeting fellows can comment on the proposals.
